How To Find Videos: Home

Use OneSearch to search all three of the library's video databases at once.

How To Search For Videos

Quick instructions

  1. Go to the library homepage and search for your topic in the OneSearch box. (OneSearch is a tool that searches multiple databases at once.)
  2. Using the left side menu in the search results list, go to Source Types and click Show More. Then select Videos and click Update.
  3. Using the left side menu in the search results list, click the Full-text check-box.
  4. Optional: using the left side menu in the search results list, narrow the publication date range.
  5. Click the title of the video to see the item record, which has the citation information.
  6. To retrieve the video, there are two options, depending on which database provides the video:
    • Click here to access video takes you directly to the video.
    • Retrieve Catalog Item takes you to the item in the library's catalog. Click View Video and that will take you directly to the video.
  7. Get the video's permalink from the page where the video displays. Here is more information on getting permalinks.
