MLA Micro-course

Using hands-on practice, learn how to create in-text and Works Cited citations, as well as craft paraphrases and summaries of source material.

This quiz is designed for SUNY Empire State College students who have worked their way through the entire micro-course.

Click the Quiz link below to take the quiz. It consists of both multiple choice and open-ended questions where you are asked to construct citations based on real world sources. Warning: the 'Cite' feature in many library databases often contains small errors; do not rely on that for accurate citations.

IMPORTANT: if one of your Empire State College professors has asked you to take this micro-course, you MUST fill out the quiz and the sections asking for your name and the name of your professor/instructor. If you do not have these requirements, those sections are optional. The results of the quiz will be sent to your instructor (this applies only to SUNY Empire State College Students).
