Workshop Description

Research Workshop 2 focuses on dissecting and discussing publications; especially peer-reviewed journal articles and primary and secondary sources. 

Learning Objectives: in this workshop you will learn how to...

  • describe and navigate common structures within scholarly publications
  • describe the peer-review process and what it is for
  • use the library to locate a wide variety of publication types
  • distinguish between primary, secondary and tertiary sources of information
  • provide some evaluative context to information sources by looking at some specific factors of those sources
